Therapeutic & Integrative Somatic Healing

A bottom-up therapeutic approach where the body, senses and emotions live at the forefront. Sensations, feelings, and inner dialogues are tracked, honored and supported with a direct focus on the nervous system so that stuck conditioning and trauma may be invited to release and regulate.

  • Like most sustainable things, we build progress, resilience, and real healing over time. Similarly to a traditional therapy structure, I work with many people on a continuous weekly or biweekly basis. This work tends to be most supportive when it’s engaged consistently, allowing space to build safety, capacity, and meaningful change over time.

I am not a licensed therapist. My specialization is in somatic trauma release modalities and the Internal Family Systems model - a compassionate therapeutic framework that acknowledges all parts of the self. Some clients engage in somatic work alongside their weekly talk therapy appointments. Others choose to focus on a somatic path as an alternative to traditional talk therapy. Different stages of our growth and healing ask for different kinds of support.

Somatic work brings the body, senses, and nervous system into the healing process. When we include the body, we often access layers that talking alone may not reach.

  • I believe that somatic work can be an incredibly powerful tool for many people, in both challenging and rewarding phases of the human experience.

We’re living in an overwhelming world, with increasing external factors pulling our attention and energy outside of us. Over time, this can quietly teach us to abandon our innate wisdom for processing, healing, and aligned action. Learning to access the body, our emotions, and our responses to life can be a meaningful act of returning to ourselves.

Somatic work may be supportive if you:

    • Feel more disconnected than ever from yourself or your body

    • Understand your trauma, symptoms, or challenging behaviors, yet can’t seem to shift long-standing patterns

    • Notice that insight hasn’t translated into change

Many of my clients come to this work with one or more of the following experiences:

    • A sense that they are stifling their emotions

    • Self-sabotage

    • A desire for deeper self-awareness

    • Trouble regulating the nervous system

    • Interest in building an embodiment practice

    • Trauma

    • Grief

    • Depression

    • Anxiety

    • Panic

    • Sudden anger or rage

    • Emotional outbursts

    • Numbness to feelings

    • Trouble taking action

    • Fear of being seen

    • Lack of motivation

    • Low self-trust

    • An overactive mind

Somatic work is not about fixing you. It is about gently building capacity to feel, process, and respond to life with more awareness and steadiness. It meets you where you are and honors the full experience of being human.

  • We’ll begin with conscious dialogue around what feels important to focus on. If we meet regularly, we’ll check back in on themes and experiences from prior sessions to honor shifts and build on your healing in a steady, integrated way.

From there, I’ll verbally guide you toward your internal atmosphere, gently exploring your body’s relationship to specific emotional experiences or areas of discomfort. We track sensations, impulses, feelings, and inner dialogue with curiosity rather than urgency.

Through Somatic Experiencing–informed techniques, Internal Family Systems frameworks, breath practices, and meditation, you’ll be supported in witnessing your senses and impulses. The goal is not to force release, but to create enough safety for the body to process at its own pace.

We move at your body’s speed and never push beyond what feels resourced. Releases can look different for everyone — sometimes big movements or emotional expression, sometimes subtle shifts like a shiver, deeper breath, warmth, or a sigh. Often the changes are quiet but meaningful.

We focus on building nervous system resilience and trust in your body’s capacity to heal. Something is happening, even when it feels subtle. The work honors that healing unfolds in layers, at your body’s pace.

  • The tools and techniques I suggest in any given session are attuned to the moment and are in real, present relationship to where you are energetically, emotionally, and physically.

As a certified Integrative Trauma Practitioner, I’ll incorporate a mindful mix of conscious dialogue, Somatic Experiencing techniques, Internal Family Systems-informed frameworks, nervous system tools, breathwork, meditation, movement and visualization.
